Thursday’s are a scheduled recovery day. Not everyone is following a 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off schedule(yet). A lot of you guys are doing 2 times a week, some 3. So you ask yourself if Thursday is a scheduled recovery day what will I be doing? You can make up one of the workouts that was programmed during the week. For those that will be coming in you can either make up a workout you missed, or work on any skill you feel needs improvement . Feel free to ask questions, work on technique…. If you are following a 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off, and come in we recommend to do something light and work on mechanics of the movements. Active recovery of some sort, mobility work is good.

    Made up murph today.
    46:43 non banded Kipping pull ups was the goal and I did it. Last mile was 9 min. Not bad at all. Jacinta gave it her all too!

    Murph was my bessssst friend today. Lol! Did 1 mile (5,10,15) in 17 rounds of kipping pull ups on black band (got spanking on my back a few times) push ups on knees & squats in an hour & 2 minutes. Came into crossfit couldn’t do pull ups only rings, couldn’t do any push ups and now I’m progressing with pull ups on a black band, and even push ups. Wanted to test and see how far I can push myself. Maybe next time my goal is to finish murph, no band on pull ups and straight push ups off knees. “I may not be the STRONGEST, I may not be the FASTEST, but I’ll be darned if I’m not trying my HARDEST.” Shoutout to my crossfit partner who pushes me to my limit, Irina. She’s a beast. I’m not bombed out I didn’t finish, I’m actually surprised and satisfied to see accomplishments.

    Mobility. Ended with, every 90 seconds, double kb press – 2 reps @ 62#. continue until failure. Failed on my 5 round, continue 2 more rounds of singles, then hit a double, then finished with 1 press and 3 push presses.

    I am SORE! I did lots of sit-ups and Russian twists this morning along with a few push-ups! Stretching with my buddy Trish! Love Thursdays!

    Did Wednesday’s work out- Longer WOD of my Crossfit Life!!!!
    Let’s see on the front squat I think I PR’ed with 130 and it actually felt okay- my knees are still sore from “Murph” and my right shoulder must be a bit tender… It was good.
    Then on to hang snatch+ snatch
    Not feeling as good today and by the 8-10 round it was not good- got up to 65 lbs. and then dropped to 60 lbs. I am still working for that 70 lbs.!
    In the row 500 meter, (MU) I did green band Dips, and the over head squats 🙁 (killer)- ummm started with 55 lbs and dropped to 50 lbs. All rounds were about 4-5 min,’s exact times in my book. Did all five rounds…
    Three rounds- KB pink 8, banded good mornings (need work), and toes to bar 8-10- completed!! Ended with some hand stand holds working on holding for one min- got one the other couple were around 30-45 sec. Haines- was coaching me! Thank you and your Handstand walks are coming alonger, nice work!
