Couple dates to mark on your Calendar’s.

October 12th at 12pm.

We will be having a 2 hour kipping pull up clinic. We will be going over how to apply your kip to various movements including toes to bar, knees to elbows, and how it applies to the muscle up. We will be discussing the difference between a swing and a kip, different grip, and when to apply them.

Cost: $20 for members and $30 for non members.

 

November 2nd at 1 pm.

We will be part of  a fund-raiser for Melanie Swift and her family. CrossFit Reformation along with many other local businesses will be donating items for the silent auction. If you are a business owner and would like to auction something please feel free to contact us via e-mail.

Here is a little back ground on Melanie Swift and what she is going through.

Melanie Swift-Rogers is a 34 year old divorced mother to an active three year old boy. In July of 2012 she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia or AML. After four months of intense chemotherapy, Melanie’s cancer fortunately went into remission. After one year of remission, just as Melanie began to regain her health and strength, she relapsed. The financial toll of the initial rounds of chemotherapy have been difficult to overcome, as Melanie has been unable to work due to the severity of her treatments. With the return of her leukemia, additional chemotherapy is required to prepare for a much needed bone marrow transplant. All of this treatment, approximately 4-8 months, is to be done at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Center. This requires a separate residence during her stay. Melanie and her family, who already feel immensely blessed by the outpouring of support from friend’s and family, would like to thank you all for your love and support and for remembering her in your prayers.

    If your a running then today is you’re day! I wobbled through the run this 5am. lol
    WOD: 7 rounds plus 1 1/2 burpees.
    Calf stretch & partner stretch was great!
    Good job 5am crew!
    Oh and that new guy. What’s his name…? Haines the great!
