Why do people hate CrossFit?

Not dislike. Not ignore. Hate.


Thursday’s are a scheduled recovery day. Not everyone is following a 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off schedule(yet). A lot of you guys are doing 2 times a week, some 3. So you ask yourself if Thursday is a scheduled recovery day what will I be doing? You can make up one of the workouts that was programmed during the week. For those that will be coming in you can either make up a workout you missed, or work on any skill you feel needs improvement . Feel free to ask questions, work on technique…. If you are following a 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off, and come in I recommend to do something light and work on mechanics of the movements. Active recovery of some sort, mobility work is good.

    You know your body, listen to it. Technique,technique, technique take the time learn the movement, be patient it will come. I appreciate everything this gym does, from the warm up, to the technical movements and teaching the technique, to the not killing your body every wod. It’s a great balance that will keep athletes healthier, which is most of our goals.

    12 toes to bar
    30 double unders

    X 3 rounds rest 3 minutes after each round

    Did it with my hubs 🙂 Don’t know how long it took us. Felt good. Gave me a chance to work my toes to bar and double unders. T2b are coming along…thanks B for all the help 🙂

    I can relate to the article. People fear what they dont know and what makes them uncomfortable. Nov. 1 will be my Crossfit 1 year birthday. A year ago I was frustrated and fed up with all kinds of workouts and my gym. My husband said “you just need to find something that challenges you and BE Consistent!” I took his advice started CF. I have changed my body in ways that I thought were impossible, especially after 3 kids. I embrace each new challenge (and there are plenty) Found a place were other women had arms as big or bigger than mine and were just as proud. It was hard. growing up i was used to intense training. As an adult I could not find any women who would workout or lift with me. Other people played basketball or regular sports but in my family we trained in fighting marital arts and boxing. While other girls went to sports camps I went to seminars and trainings with my father and brother. Talk about uncomfortable. Crossfit is perfect always intense no matter what level you start at and there is always a new challenge around every corner. Sorry so long but I share my box with everyone I know. Kinda like a baby Christian , I want everyone I know to benefit and reap the rewards from this awesome thing called Crossfit.
