So this year has flown by, can’t believe it’s almost over. Seem’s like the older I get the faster time goes by.
There will be some changes coming in the next couple months from how we introduce people to the gym to different programing available. Expect more details on this in the next couple weeks.
As Coaches and owners we are always trying to find the best way to teach and coach every one of you. You have heard us say it before, our goal is to offer you the best training possible, while at the same time being safe. This has been done by bringing a head coach (Brenden), ensuring we have two coaches(majority) of the time, going to different training’s offered around the state ,reaching out to some of the athletes in the gym to assist us , and knowing that we don’t know everything and we won’t ever know everything, but we are willing to always continue to learn, and pass on the knowledge we learn from the trainings we attend and from all of you that give us feedback(we like feedback).
I bring this is up because I am sure some of you have seen Robby Flores in the evenings (Monday’s and Wednesday’s). At the beginning of the month he was probably just hanging out, observing. As of last week you probably noticed him taking over some of the warm ups. I have known Robby and his wife Tina for about 2 years now and he is not new to CrossFit. Robby has shown dedication to his self-improvement and has spent countless hours of his own time learning, and studying how to become a better athlete, but most importantly a better coach. He will start running the warm up’s on the Monday’s and Wednesday’s and some Saturdays, and he will be Assisting us on those days as well.
We also know that there is a lot to learn, and that its hard sometimes to make a certain class times and that LIFE happens. We do our best to accommodate everyone, so that you can come in for one hour, and get an amazing workout. So starting Monday November 4th we will be adding a 9am class.
One last thing. This Saturday we will NOT be having and intro class….. we will only be running two classes 8am and 9 am. This will give us enough time to clean up and get everything ready for the FUNDRAISER. Please share this and let’s have a good time and be a blessing to the Swift family. There will be plenty of things up for grabs. You are not going to want to miss it. Click here for more info.
Thursday’s are a scheduled recovery day. Not everyone is following a 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off schedule(yet). A lot of you guys are doing 2 times a week, some 3. So you ask yourself if Thursday is a scheduled recovery day what will I be doing? You can make up one of the workouts that was programmed during the week. For those that will be coming in you can either make up a workout you missed, or work on any skill you feel needs improvement . Feel free to ask questions, work on technique…. If you are following a 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off, and come in I recommend to do something light and work on mechanics of the movements. Active recovery of some sort, mobility work is good.
